A Memorial Service to celebrate the life of Robert "Bob" Butler, Jr, 61, of Marshall will be held at 2:00p.m. Wednesday, September 14, 2016 in the Chapel of Downs Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 13, 2016 from 6:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. at Downs Funeral Home. Mr. Butler passed away Sunday, September 11, 2016 in Marshall.

Robert "Bob" Butler, Jr, was born November 05, 1954 in Seattle, Washington to Robert and Morine Butler, Sr. Bob Graduated from Byrd High School and went on to attend college at the University of Texas, Austin. Bob was a cotton farmer and a partner of RMW Cotton Farms. In his free time, he enjoyed playing golf, shooting guns, flying planes, cooking and baseball. He also loved going to Superior Grill for dinner and margarita's with his family, something he was able to do just one day before he passed away. Bob had many hobbies, but what he loved most was his family.

Those left to cherish the many memories of Bob Butler are his mother, Morine Vines Butler of Marshall; his loving wife of 34 years, Teresa Butler of Marshall; daughters, Christi Owens and husband, Dustin of Ft. Worth, Laura Butler of White Oak; mother-in-law Linda Chesire of Shreveport; sister, Shari Butler of Ohio and his beautiful grandchildren, Rielagn, Kinzley and Charley.
