A Graveside Funeral Service for Robert "Bob" DeMoney will be held at 2:00p.m., Wednesday, March 01, 2017 in Woodley Cemetery, Elysian Fields, Texas. Visitation with family and friends will take place from 6:00p.m. - 8:00p.m., Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at Downs Funeral Home. Bob passed away Sunday, February 26, 2017 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Robert Dell DeMoney was born January 06, 1940 in Anguilla, Mississippi to Herschel and Vera DeMoney. As a young man, Bob joined the U.S. Army where he served his country for four years before joining the Army National Guard where he served another 22 years. Bob served his country faithfully with honor and pride. In 1969 he began work at Alcoa when the plant opened its doors and continued working there until his retirement in 2002. Bob loved the outdoors, country music and his Dallas Cowboys. Above all, Bob loved his family. He was member of Bethel United Methodist Church.
