Robert Leo Desmond, Sr. Robert Leo Desmond, Sr., 89, of Marshall passed away on January 19, 2011. in the VA Hospital, in Shreveport, Louisiana. Mr. Desmond was born on January 14, 1922 in Toledo, Ohio, to John Francis Desmond and Myrtle Edith Ransom Desmond. He graduated from Central Catholic High School in Toledo. He married Louise Mathilda DeLisi in Memphis, Tennessee on June 23, 1943. He served his country in the US Army during WWII. He worked as an Aerospace Engineer for Hughes Aircraft, and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Surviving Mr. Desmond are his wife of sixty-seven years Louise Desmond of Marshall, son Robert Desmond, Jr. of Marshall, daughters Diane Leslie of Temecula, California, and Carol Danielson of Bethany, Louisiana.
