Robert "Bob" Lenz Funeral services for Robert "Bob" Lenz, 68, of Marshall will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, August 2, 2011 in the Chapel of Downs Funeral Home with Clarence White officiating. Interment will follow in Colonial Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8p.m., Monday, August 1st at the Downs Funeral Home. Mr. Lenz passed away July 28, 2011 in Marshall. Bob was born in Navasota, Texas to Robert Lenz and Rosie Beth Klussman Lenz on October 22, 1942. He attended school in Brenham, Texas. He was a pipe fitter for JW Operating, and served in the US Army. He was a Lutheran. He was a outdoorsman who liked riding horses, watching westerns, dancing, spending time with his family, and watching his grandson play. Survivors are his wife, Dottie Lenz of Waskom; sons, Michael Lenz of Marshall, James Nichols of Oklahoma, and Jerry Nichols of Willis, Texas; daughters, Kimberly Kay Lenz of Willis, and Angie Nichols of Cleveland. Also surviving Mr. Lenz are his grandchildren, Blade Lenz and Jaleigh Littrell, both of Marshall; his brother, Donnie Lenz of Aledo, and numerous other relatives and friends. Pallbearers will be Robert Richardson, Jamie Richardson, Roby Whittaker, Clayton Alexander, Clay White and Roy Richarson. Honorary pallbearers are Jack Goodson, Bill Houston, Udell Dooley, and Mike Spurgeon.
