A funeral service for Robert Rowe, Sr., 91, of Waskom, Texas will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 15, 2022, at Union Chapel Missionary Church in Waskom, Texas. Interment will follow at Union Chapel Missionary Cemetery. Mr. Rowe passed away on October 10, 2022, at his home in Waskom.

Robert Rowe, Sr. was born November 15, 1930, to the late Willie Sr. and Ella Mae Rowe.

On August 27, 1950, he married the love of his life, the late Ruby Lee Washington in Marshall, Texas. To this union eleven children were born.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife; son, Benny Rowe (Evelyn); son-in-laws, Matthew Johnson and Alexander Wheeler, III; sisters, Zelma Rowe, Ernestine Rowe and Cora James and brothers, Nathaniel Rowe and Willie Rowe, Jr.

He is survived by his 8 sons, Thomas (Linda) of Hot Springs, Arkansas, Robert (Mary) of Karnack, Texas, Raymond (Linda) of Tyler, Texas, Johnny (Rannie) of Dallas, Texas, James (Eltina) of Dallas, Texas, Bob (Elisa) of Forney, Texas, Billy (Sonya) of Longview, Texas and James Haggerty of Marshall, Texas; 3 daughters, Bobby Johnson of Shreveport, Louisiana, Betty (Darrick) of Euless, Texas and Annie Rowe of Arlington, Texas; 2 brothers, Sam Rowe and Melvin (Annie) of Houston, Texas along with a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
