Robert Lavert Taylor was given life on June 23, 1945 to the late Margaret and George Taylor. Robert attended Pemberton High School where he graduated in 1963.  Robert enlisted in the United States Navy in November 1963. He served until October 1967.  Robert also confessed to Christ at an early age at Oak Grove Baptist Church.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents Margaret and George Taylor and brother Kenard Taylor.

He leaves to mourn his only daughter Deborah J. (Frederick) Roger and a son Steven Morris.  He leaves his sister Roberta T. Cooper, and brother George Taylor.

Robert leaves to mourn 3 grandchildren, Mar' Queal, Frederick, Jr. and Shymiah, and four great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Robert Lavert Taylor will be at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 11, 2018 in the chapel of Downs Funeral Home. Mr. Taylor passed away July 5, 2018.
