Rosa Mae Calhoun "Ro Ro" age 67 passed from this life to her eternal home on Friday, December 30, 2022. She was born July 30, 1955, in Ponca City, Oklahoma to Dewey Burt Meyers and Flora Mae Wigg Meyers. Rosa enjoyed cooking in her younger years as well as spending time with her family. She was very sociable and enjoyed visiting with her friends and doing activities with them. Her most favorite past time was spent with her grandchildren whom she loved very much.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dewey Burt Meyers and spouse Flora Mae Wigg Meyers and husband, Harold Wayne Calhoun; brothers, Jay Wigg and spouse Donna, Lee Wigg and spouse Anita and Charlie Meyers.

Left to cherish her memories are her son, David Wayne Calhoun; grandchildren, Paisley Calhoun, Leslie Strong and spouse Casey, Wesley Phares, Bradley Phares, Shelby Goyne and spouse Derek, Landon Calhoun, Lindsay Calhoun and 3 great grandchildren.

A celebration of life service will be held at Downs Funeral Home, 4608 Elysian Fields Road, Marshall, Texas with visitation beginning 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 4, 2023. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 5, 2023, in the chapel of Downs Funeral Home with interment following at Colonial Gardens Cemetery, Marshall, Texas, D.W. McClendon officiating.
