A funeral service for Mrs. Simington will be held at 2:00p.m. Sunday, March 25, 2018 in the Chapel of Downs Funeral Home with Minister Eric Jackson officiating. Visitation will be held from 6-8p.m. Saturday, March 24, 2018 at Downs Funeral Home.

In the morning hours of March 21, 2018 Rose Mary Simington was called home to her eternal resting place.

Rose Mary Simington was born to Laddie Mae Hawkins and Floyd High both of Marshall, Texas on July 3, 1937. Mrs. Simington attended Marshall Schools. She married in 1960 to the love of her life, Harry Simington of Dallas, Texas in this union three children were born. Mrs. Simington accepted Christ as her Savior at an early age; she was a member of Southside Church of Christ and later became a member of Westside Church of Christ. She worked at Marshall Manor in housekeeping for thirteen years retiring in 1998.

Mrs. Simington is preceded in death by her father, Floyd High; mother, Laddie Mae Hawkins; aunt, Lovie Beatrice Hawkins-Williams; brother, Harold Edward Hawkins Sr.; and son in-law, Hank Copeland Sr.
