A memorial service for Roy Doulgas Harman, 69, of Marshall, Texas will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 16, 2023, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Marshall.

Roy was born January 17, 1954, in Carlsbad New Mexico to William Jackson Harman and Mamie Ruth Clark Harman and passed away on September 12, 2023, in Marshall Texas.

He moved to Brownwood Texas as a child with his family where he broke horses and was a cowboy. He later moved to Tehran Iran following his father's job in the oilfield. He graduated from the American School in 1973 in Tehran Iran. He then began to pursue his career in the oil field following his father's footsteps. He moved to Marshall, Texas with his two children, Justin Wade Harman and Jalana Christine Harman in the early 1980's. In 1983 he married Margaret Mary Vines and the two remained married until his passing. Two sons were born to that union, Anthony Douglas Harman and Eric Adam Harman. He was an assistant scoutmaster of boy scout troop 210.
He is preceded in death by his parents, William Jackson and Mamie Ruth Harman.

He leaves behind a loving wife, Margaret Harman; Justin Wade Harman, Jalana Christine Dansby and husband, Jay, Anthony Douglas Harman and wife, Jessica and Eric Adam Harman and wife, Jackie; 16 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren along with other family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
