Roy Dale Ready Roy Dale Ready was born November 19, 1947 in Marshall, Texas to John R.D. Ready and Winnie C. Ready. Roy died peacefully March 23, 2012, in his home in Marshall surrounded by his family. He was preceded in death by his mother and father and two sisters, Jean Fant and Sharon Skinner. Roy married Janie Sue Morrison on the 4th of July, 1971 in Austin, Texas. They celebrated forty years of marriage together. Family was the most important part of his life. He and Janie were blessed with two sons, John Clayton Ready and James Kyle Ready and five precious grandchildren. Roy was a graduate of the 1966 class of Marshall High School. He served in the National Guard for six years. He was a member of Summit United Methodist Church in Marshall. Roy's career included SWEPCO, where he worked as a lineman. He owned and operated Ready's Electric. He also worked in construction project management for over 30 years. During the last ten years of his career, he worked for Sebesta Bloomberg as the senior project manager for the DFW airport expansion project in Dallas. Roy is survived by his wife Janie Ready, sons Clayton Ready, Kyle Ready & wife Melinda, grandchildren Kaitlyn Ready, Josh Ready, Jacob Ready, Marla Ready, Kayla Ready, brother Gerald Ready, all of Marshall, and numerous nieces and nephews.
