Ruby "Hoody" Jones Mrs. Ruby (Hoody) Jones was born on August 10, 1929, to the late Warren Edwards and Lizzie Davis Edwards in Marshall, Texas. She received her formal education from the Marshall Public schools. Mrs. Ruby (Hoody) Jones accepted Christ as her saviour at an early age. She was a member of Green Hill Baptist Church and later on moved her membership to Grace Baptist Church. She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Ruby Smith, Martha Sheppard, Helen Robinson, Judy Jones, Mattie Jones, Ruth Jones, Sondra Jones, Lonzo Jones, James Jones, David Jones, Floyd Jones, Larry Jones, and Reginald Jones, all of Marshall, and son Dewayne Ingram of Dallas. Also surviving Mrs. Jones are 46 grandchildren, numerous great and great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Lorenzo Jones, her parents Lizzie Davis Edwards and Warren Edwards, two children, three sisters, and three grandchildren.
