Ruth "Honey"
Henderson King
Apr 4, 1927 — Jul 8, 2019
Reflections of the Life of Mrs. Ruth "Honey" King.
On April 4, 1927, to the parents of Elijah and Eva Coleman Henderson a child was born and they named her, Jerutha, which she later changed to Ruth. On Monday, July 8, 2019, the Lord called her home to that special place on high. We thank our Heavenly Father for the precious time he allowed us to be with her. We will miss her presence, however we stand firm with the understanding that "to be absent from the body, is to be present with the Lord" 2 Corinth 5:8 .
Funeral services for Mrs. King will be held Saturday, July 13, 2019 in the Chapel of Full Gospel Holy Temple Church with Bishop Larry B. Kiel, Sr. officiating the service. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Friday, July 12, 2019 at Downs Funeral Home.
Mrs. King attended the Rock Hill public schools in Marshall. She joined church at Marshall Greenhill Baptist Church #II at an early age, where she served as a Deaconess and President of the Junior Choir.
