Ruth V. St. Romain was born in Hineston, Louisiana to William Wilson Golemon and Callie Victoria Kirkpatrick Golemon on May 22, 1934. She attended schools in Grand Cane, Louisiana. On August 1, 1949 she married Roy J. St. Romain and they celebrated sixty-four years of marriage before his death in 2013. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved to cook and sew. Mrs. St.Romain is survived by her sons, Roy St. Romain, Jr. and wife Elizabeth of Harleton, John St. Romain of Marshall TX; sister, Judy G. Reynolds and husband, Pat of Marshall; brother, B. Ray Golemon and wife Martile of Monroe, LA; granddaughters, Cindy DeVolpi and husband Kenneth of Hideaway Lake TX, and Stacey Cornett and husband Jeff of Longview TX; grandson, T.J. St.Romain and wife Tennille of South Lake TX. Also surviving Mrs. St. Romain are nine great grandchildren. Mrs. St. Romain passed away on July 12, 2014 in Marshall. The family wishes to give a special thanks to the staff of Good Shepherd Medical Center in Marshall, Marshall Home Care and Hospice, and Dr. Sam Afshar for their special care.
