Graveside services for Ruth Young, 87 of Marshall will be held at 10 a.m., Friday September 2, 2016 at the Center Hill Cemetery near Linden, Texas. A time of visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m., Thursday September 1, 2016 at Downs Funeral Home in Marshall, Texas. Mrs. Young passed away August 29, 2016.

Ruth was born July 29, 1929 in Cass County, Texas, the daughter of Richard Robin Hall and Lois Lucille Goodman Hall. She was married to Carl Young for 55 years. He preceded her in death. She and Carl worked together for many years in the various businesses he owned. Ruth attended Providence Baptist Church in Marshall.

Surviving Ruth are her three children, Sherri Young of Marshall, Tom Young and wife Karan of Ft. Worth, Sandy Keller and husband Carl of Jefferson; three grandchildren, Shannon Young, Kalynn Young and Jeffrey Keller; two step-grandchildren, Brenda Abraham and Philip Keller; six great-grandchildren, Azucena Flores, Xavier Flores, Daniel Flores, Trey Martin, Madison Keller and Elyse Ruth Keller; five step-great-grandchildren, Cassie Keller, Avery Keller, Olivia Keller, Greyson Abraham and Ariana Abraham; three sisters, Melba Howard of Marshall, Golda Holland and Joyce Cole and husband Bill all of Atlanta.
