A memorial service for Sandra Jean Guffey of Harleton, Texas will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday September 13, 2021 at Oak Grove Baptist church in Harleton with Bro. Leonard Nichols officiating.

Sandra was born to Albert and Alice Phillips on November 24, 2021 in Mansfield, Louisiana. She was 72 years old. She passed away on September 9, 2021 in Longview at Longview Regional Hospital from this terrible Covid virus.

She married the love of her life Donald A. Guffey on October 19, 1965 in Marshall. They were married for 42 years before he passed away in 2007.

Sandra was a homemaker most of her life. She did work at Marshall Pottery during most of the 1980's. She was an excellent cook, and loved flower arranging. She had a loyal companion by her side almost constantly, her dog, who she absolutely loved, Cooper.

She is survived by her three children, Donald D. Guffey and wife Tracy of Jefferson, Tx; daughter, Salina Guffey Raymundo and husband Adeelmo of Leonard, Texas and Aaron Guffey of Harleton. Her nine grandchildren: Johnathan Guffey, Austin Templin, Suzannah Wanner, Kayla Holt, Terra Thomas, Antonio Raymundo, Mackenzie Templin, Debra Thomas and Sofia Raymundo. Her four great grandchildren: Corbin and Lincoln Holt, Anastasia Mae Thomas and June Rose Wanner. She has many nieces and nephews. She has one living sister, Dina Lynn Matthews of Shreveport, Louisiana.

She was preceded in death by her husband, two daughters, Shawn Templin in 2014 and Tammy Thomas just 3 months ago also from covid, her mother Alice Alliston, her father Bert Phillips, her sister Dena Shelby, and her brother Harlan Matthews.

Sandra was a loving wife, devoted mother and grandmother and good friend. She will be missed.
