Bubba was born on August 8, 1956, in Marshall, Texas, to Sanford Wayne Hunt, Sr. and Marian Clifford Jennings Hunt. He was raised as a Baptist and passed away on December 6, 2025, in Longview, Texas.
He graduated from Marshall High School in 1974. He married Beverly Ford on August 29, 1975, in Marshall, Texas and the two remained married until his passing. He worked for and retired from Sabine Mining Company after 30 years of service as a heavy equipment diesel mechanic. Bubba enjoyed his time with his "Sabine Crew." He took great pride in doing yardwork and enjoyed camping with his family and friends. He enjoyed NASCAR racing and even had his own race car years ago that he raced at Boothill Speedway. If you knew him then you knew he loved anything that was John Deere and Chevrolet. He was very particular about his yard and his vehicles. Bubba also enjoyed going to car shows. He was an extremely hard working man that provided for his family and was always willing to help someone in need.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wayne and Clifford Hunt and his older sister, Deborah Scott and husband, A.L.
He is survived by his wife, Beverly Hunt; daughter, Amy Franks and husband, Keith and sister, Sherry Hortman; brother-in-law, Lloyd Ford and wife, Karen and sister-in-law, Angie Ford Munden and husband, Matt and numerous nieces and nephews along with other family and friends. He was truly a lover of animals and will be missed by everyone that knew and loved him, especially his dog, "Buddy."
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in his honor to friendsofmarshallanimals.org
