Funeral services for Shane Paulk, 38, of Uvalde, Texas will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, June 21, 2013 in the Chapel of Downs Funeral Home with Bro. James Willis and Bro. Kenneth Flanagan officiating. Interment will follow in Paulk Family Cemetery. A time of visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 P.M., Thursday, June 20, 2013 at Downs Funeral Home. Mr. Paulk passed away June 15, 2013 in Uvalde, Texas. Shane Paulk was born September 28, 1974 in Marshall, Texas to Marvin Wayne Paulk and Margie Payne Paulk. He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church in Uvalde, Texas. On June 18, 2002, he married Candace Nicole Davis in Marshall. He was a dedicated father and husband, who coached baseball with his children. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing and golfing. Shane loved his family and friends, he and his brother were going to conquer the world. He also adored and loved each and every one of his nieces and nephews very much. Surviving Shane are his wife Candice Paulk of Uvalde, Texas; brothers, Clifford Paulk and wife Darlene, Robert Paulk and wife Penny, all of Marshall; sister, Margie Jones and husband Brandon of Tyler; maternal grandmother, Margie "Grandma" Adkins of Marshall; children, Alexis Birdsong, Carly Davis Paulk, Cash Paulk, Erica Paulk, all of Uvalde, TX; one aunt, seven nieces, four nephews and many other family and friends. Shane was preceded in death by his mother and sister Valerie Luza.
