Funeral services for Shelia Annette Chatham Balderas, 55, of Marshall will be held at 2 p.m., Friday June 10, 2011 in the Chapel of Downs Funeral Home with Bro. Eric Jackson officiating. Burial will follow in Colonial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m., Thursday June 09, 2011at Downs Funeral Home. Mrs. Balderas passed away Saturday, June 4, 2011 in Marshall, Texas. Shelia Annette Chatham was born in Marshall, Texas to Elbert Lee Chatham and Myrtlene Powell Chatham on January 12, 1955. She graduated from Marshall High School. She married Jesus Balderas on March 19, 1978 in Harrison County. She was a homemaker, and ordained minister. She founded Russell Ministries and founded Jesus Ministries International Radio Broadcast Service. She was an accomplished musician and artist. Survivors include her husband Jesus Balderas; children, Ricky Craver, James Craver, Jody Craver, Frances Craver, Mario Balderas, Celia Balderas, Ana Balderas & husband Miguel Garcia, Rosa Balderas, and Eduardo Balderas ; mother, Myrthlene Chatham; sister, Pamela Medina & husband Mario; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father Elbert Lee Chatham and daughter, Christena Craver. Serving as pallbearers will be Miguel Garcia, Alberto Balderas, Francis Perez, Luis Gonzalez, and Johnny Torres and Roderick Sparks.
