Graveside services for Shirley Beloney Alexander, 70 of Marshall will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday February 26, 2015 under the direction of Downs Funeral Home in Colonial Gardens Cemetery with Bro. Dick Sawyer officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at the funeral home. Mrs. Alexander passed away February 21, 2015 in Marshall. Shirley was born May 13, 1944 in Marshall to Ed and Bessie Paxton Beloney. She later married Henry Alexander whom preceded her in death. She was a wonderful, loving mother and grandmother who dedicated her life to her children and grandchildren. She was ever present in all things that they were involved in. Shirley was an excellent cook and loved to feed her family. Surviving Shirley are children, Betty Linville and husband Don, Billy Alexander and wife Pat, Henry Alexander and wife Angela, Jerry Alexander and wife Kelly and Bessie Alexander and husband Jason Kindley; sister, Edna Flowers; two brothers, Wayne Beloney and wife Barbara, Thomas Beloney and wife Gayle and her sister, Virginia Hearnsberger, who was her closest companion and was there with her every single moment. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and numerous brothers and sisters.
