A graveside service for Mr. "Sonny" Brown will be held of Friday, May 28, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Restland Cemetery. Bro. Doug Lovett will officiate the service. Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 27, 2021 at Downs Funeral Home.

Sonny Brown, 77, of Waskom, Texas was born on November 1, 1943 to his parents, Frank Henry Brown and Amy Lee Henderson. Sonny passed away on May 22, 2021. He was a lifetime resident of Waskom. Sonny enjoyed gardening, cooking, and spending time with his family.  Sonny had a passion for fishing, fishing, and more fishing. He loved to fish for perch and bass.

Sonny is survived by his children, Christie Lynn Robinson, Tammy Renea Joplin and spouse David; sisters, Betty Wyatt, Glenda Proffitt, Faye Carver and spouse Noble, Jessie Carolyn "Sue" Ponce; grandchildren, Nicole Wright and spouse Matthew, Haley Woodall, Victoria Holder; great-grandchildren, Kristine Wright, Chelsie Wright, Raelynn Woodall, Sophia Gonzales; numerous nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.

Sonny is preceded in death by his grandparents, Evie and Jessie Jordan parents, Frank Henry and Amy Lee Brown; loving wife, Diana Brown; brother-in-law's, Ray Proffitt, Joe Ponce, Buddy Wyatt.
