A funeral service for Mr. Alexander will be held at 11:00a.m. Saturday, December 22, 2018 in the Chapel of Downs Funeral Home.

Steven DeWayne Alexander (Pip) was born May 15, 1980 to Cynthia Alexander and the late Author Ray Campbell.

Steven attended school in Shreveport, Louisiana and worked at Brady Welding for many years. He was a member of Greater New Life Baptist Church in Marshall, Texas.

Preceding him in death is his father, Author Ray Campbell and his aunts, Mary Helen and Shirley Griffin.

Steve leaves to cherish his memories: his loving wife, Crystal Alexander; three handsome sons, Justin Webb Alexander and Steven Alexander, Jr. of Marshall, Texas and Stemarrion Alexander of Springhill, Louisiana; four beautiful daughters, Kynsley Alexander, Kayla Carraway, Emmalee Carraway, and Victoria Webb all of Marshall, Texas; three sisters, Kimberly Alexander and Crystal Brown of Vivian, Louisiana and Shametra Green of Belcher, Louisiana; three brothers, LaDerrick Campbell of Rodessa, Louisiana , Brandon Alexander and Peter Armstrong of Vivian, Louisiana; a special aunt, Patricia Peterson of Rodessa, Louisiana; a special cousin, Rodney Brown of Rodessa, Louisiana; a special sister-in-law, Dianne Roberts (Carl); mother-in-law, Diane Taylor (Conrad); father-in-law, Grady Webb (Barbaria); a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews; and many friends who loved him dearly.
