A Mass of Christian Burial for Steven Ellis, 52, of Marshall will be held at 10am Friday, April 08, 2016 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial will immediately follow in Fairview Cemetery, Marshall. Visitation will take place from 6pm to 8pm Thursday, April 07, 2016 at Downs Funeral Home. Mr. Ellis passed away Sunday, April 03, 2016 in Marshall.

Steven Ellis was born May 05, 1963 in El Paso, Texas to Kenneth and Cecilia Ellis. Steven was a graduate of Marshall Independent School District and of Texas A & M University. Steven made a career in the customer service and automobile industry working as the Finance Director for multiple car dealerships including John Elway Nissan in Denver, Colorado and Johnny Williams Ford in Marshall, Texas. In his spare time he enjoyed traveling, playing golf and spending time with his nephews. A devout catholic, Steven was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Those left to cherish the memory of Steven are his mother, Cecilia Ellis; two brothers, Tony Ellis of Mansfield, Texas and Kenny Ellis of Los Angeles, Texas and numerous nieces and nephews, all of whom he loved dearly.
