Funeral services for Stuart Lynn Seals, 60, of Marshall, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, February 26, 2015, in the Chapel of Downs Funeral Home with Bro. Kenneth Flanagan and Bruce George officiating. Interment will follow in Liberty Cemetery, Harleton, TX. A time of visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 25, 2015, at Downs Funeral Home. Mr. Seals passed away February, 22, 2015 in Marshall. Stuart Lynn Seals was born February 9, 1955, in Carthage, TX, to Rev. Manuel Seals, Sr. and Lula Mae Powell Seals. He was a graduate of Marshall High School. Stuart married his wife, Judy George, on June 11, 1976, in Marshall. Stuart was a member and deacon at Clearview Baptist Church and Port Caddo Baptist Church. He was a man of faith, family and integrity. He was a loving husband, father, Papa and brother. Stuart was a protector and servant of the family, never gave up and never gave in. He is a devout Christian, never wavering in his faith all the way until the end. Surviving Stuart are his wife, Judy George Seals of Marshall; children, Andy Seals and wife Kristin of Spring, TX, Selena Seals Nealy and husband Preston of Marshall; siblings, Barbara Stewart and husband Don, Donald Seals and wife Sharon, Shirley Seals, Dennis Seals, Bridget Griffin and husband Darryl, Manuel Seals, Jr. and wife Patty, Lillie VanHecke and husband Shawn, all of Marshall; 5 grandchildren, Kayela Gail Nealy, Allie Kathleen Seals, Julie Ann Nealy, Aven Nicole Seals, Preston Jase Nealy; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Elmer Rae George and Fairest Opal George; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, extended family and friends. Stuart was preceded in death by his parents. Pallbearers will be Monty Wright, Roy Nealy, Donny Seals, Michael Jones, Derrick Griffin and Chris Jones. Honorary pallbearers will be Don Elam and Scotty Seals.
