Funeral services for Syd Davidson, 67 of Panola, TX will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, June 9, 2020 in the chapel of Downs Funeral Home of Marshall, TX with Pastor Brad Simms officiating.  Burial will be in the Panola Mt Zion Cemetery.  There will be a visitation on Monday, June 8th from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Syd Davidson was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana to Elbert Frank Lee and Eva Bird Lee on August 27, 1952.   She married Claude Jeffery Davidson on May 30, 1986 in Elysian Fields, Texas. They celebrated thirty-four years of marriage before her death on June 5, 2020.

She worked as a Surgical Nurse. She was a long time resident of the Elysian Fields area, and was a member of Golden Rule Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, riding horses and tending to the cows.

She is survived by her husband Jeff Davidson of Panola, Texas; children, David Davidson and wife Casey of Nacogdoches, Texas, Sabrina Davidson of Marshall, Texas, Jackie Jansen and husband Dan of Panola, Texas, and Justin Davidson of Houston, Texas; grandchildren, Grace Roquemore, Deanna Davidson, Will Davidson, Wade Jansen, and Mercy Jansen.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Elbert Lee and Eva Hunley.
