A graveside funeral service for Theodore "Ted" Melton, Jr, 78 of Marshall will be held at 10am, Monday, October 19, 2015 at Colonial Gardens Cemetery, Marshall, TX, in the little chapel by the lake. A visitation will take place from 9am until the service begins at 10am. Mr. Melton passed away October 15, 2015. Ted Melton, Jr. was born November 13, 1936 in Oklahoma City, OK, to Theodore Melton, Sr. and Agnes Lucy Polley. He was a graduate of Highlandville, Missouri schools. After graduation, Ted joined the United States Airforce where he served his country honorably for the next 20 years. After retirement from the military, Ted began working as a cattleman, a job he loved. In September of 1981, Ted married Betty, the love of his life. Ted is survived by his loving wife, Betty Melton; four daughters; sister, Mary Carr; numerous grandchildren; 1 great-granddaughter; sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, numerous other extended family and friends and his special babies, Bruno, Angel and Josie. He is preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Cassandra Jo Hill.
