Teresa Gail Ortiz, 65, of Marshall, TX, passed away on June 3rd following a long illness.

While she touched many lives and will be remembered fondly for her warmth, devotion, and compassion, those closest to her will forever cherish the memory of the profound love and joy she felt for the animals with which she surrounded herself. There is not enough space here to name the cats, dogs, horses, and other beloved critters that filled her heart, her voice, and her laugh with so much happiness.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Delcia and James Stovall and is survived by her husband, Aurelio Ortiz, daughter Alicia and her fiancée John Fisher and son Aurelio and his wife Katy Ortiz.

A service will be held in her honor at Downs Funeral Home in Marshall, TX on Sunday, June 9th at 2pm.
