Obituary

A Funeral Service to celebrate the life of Mr. Terry Neil Morin, 77, of Marshall will be held at 3:00p.m. Sunday, October 16, 2016 in the Chapel of Downs Funeral Home with Dr. Ryan Berryhill officiating. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service. Interment will immediately follow the service at Yates Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Scottsville. Mr. Morin passed away Wednesday, October 13, 2016 in Marshall.

Terry Morin was born December 05, 1938 to Harry and Pauline Morin in Minneapolis, Minnesota. After graduating high school, Terry went on to further his education attending Henderson State Teachers College on a basketball scholarship. At just 22 years of age Terry united in marriage with the love of his life, Linda. Together, Terry and Linda raised three children who Terry thought the world of. In the years to come, his three children would provide him with the gifts only a child can provide, grandchildren. Terry loved his grandchildren and enjoyed watching them participate in their many activities. He was a lover of golf, so much so that he became the manager of Oak Lawn Golf Course. Terry also owned and operated the Grub Sack in Scottsville for many years. When not working, golfing or spending time with his family, you could find Terry watching or talking about his beloved Texas Rangers or hanging out with his best friend, Trixie, his beloved dog.

Preceding Terry in death are his parents, Harry and Pauline Morin; brothers, Harry Morin, Jr., and Bill Morin; and a sister, Marvel McMaster.

Those left to cherish the many memories of Terry are his beloved wife of 55 years, Linda Morin; son, Brad Morin and wife, Kelly of Marshall, their children, Zach of Washington, D.C., Lexie and Emily of Marshall; Daughter, Donna Brooks and husband, Jon of Marshall and their children, Dustin and great-grandson, Malakai of Waco, Matthew and wife, Kim and great-grandson, Cooper of Hendersonville, TN; son, Tim Morin and fiancé, Heather Bernard of Marshall, Tim's children, Jackson, Mary Margaret, and their mother, Cymber Morin of Arlington; a sister, Susan Baxter and companion, Rose Eiza from Sherwood, AR, her son Chris Baxter from Cabot, AR; and a sister-in-law, Jackie Morin. He is also survived my numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to give special thanks to the staff of Marshall Manor Nursing Home and to Dr. Kimberly Barbolla and Marshall Homecare and Hospice.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Marshall Food Pantry.
