Thelma Dodd was born on January 15, 1922 in Ithaca, NY to Charles and Nora Dodd. She passed away November 9, 2015 in Marshall. Ms. Dodd was a registered nurse for many years before retiring in 1984 while working in New Port Richey, FL. After her retirement she was very active in the communities she lived. Ms. Dodd was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 267 of Marshall. She believed in all of us helping our veterans and military.

Ms. Dodd will be buried at Fort Sam Houston Military Cemetery in San Antonio, TX at a later date. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Surviving Ms. Dodd are her children, Richard Strait and wife Diane of Marshall, Mitchell Strait and wife Sue of San Antonio, TX, Stephen Strait and wife Vera of Ithaca, NY and daughter, Sabra Miracle and husband Jeff of Biloxi, MS. Also surviving her are 10 grandchildren, Jamie Strait of NY, Denise Strait of Lakeland, FL, Stephanie Kennedy of South Portland, ME, Michelle Strait of Boston, MA, Sara Barrick and Jakie Sigmund of San Antonio, TX, Samantha and Austin Strait of Ithaca, NY and Krysta and Jason Miracle of Biloxi, MS; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and  great nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Nora and Charles Dodd, sisters, Dorothy Hall and Emily Warren and one son, Peter Strait.
