Thelma Roberson Sparks was born October 13, 1944, to Clarence Roberson Sr. and Lorene Washington Roberson in Waskom, Texas. She was from a large and loving family of 12 other siblings. Thelma was educated at Belview Baptist Church Elementary School until it was consolidated with Kelly Elementary School. Thelma R. Sparks was a proud graduate of HB Pemberton High School in 1962. She continued to work faithfully with other members of HB Pemberton on reunion committees. She united with Belview Baptist Church at a very young age where she worked faithfully in many departments. She extremely loved singing in choirs. She later moved her membership to Shiloh Missionary B.C. to continue her love for Christ. Upon her final days on earth, she was a loving member of Childress Deliverance Temple in which she wholeheartedly loved and adored the leadership of her Pastor Dr. Apostle_Bishop Lionel Childress Sr. She worked for over 40 years as a domestic engineer until she made the decision to follow her lifelong dream of being an entrepreneur in the catering business. She perfected the art over the years and put huge smiles on the face of others with her signature dishes such as homemade tamales, chicken enchiladas, ribbon cookies, homemade rolls, cheese straws, and her special secret homemade mayonnaise.
