A memorial service for Thomas Edward Neel, 60, of Avinger, Texas will be held by the family at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, November 13, 2022, at Tennessee Cemetery in Timpson, Texas.

Thomas was born on May 7, 1962, in Gilmer, Texas to Harry Walter Neel, Sr. and Ethel Lorene Hardman Carter Neel and passed away on October 25, 2022, in Avinger, Texas.

He spent the latter part of his life living between Texas and Alaska with several moves between the two. He lived with his parents, Harry and Lorene Neel, helping to care for them in the last years of their lives. He attended Lake O The Pines Baptist Church. He drove a truck for most of his life and enjoyed the many places it took him. He loved to fish and enjoyed the Alaskan outdoors. His favorite pastime was golf along with watching it, playing it and talking about it.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Lorene Neel.

He is survived by his children, Anny Butcher and Amanda Prentke; brothers and sisters, Debbie Little Dog of Eagle River, AK, Jim Plumlee of Siloam Springs, AR, Sherry Creech of Wasilla, AK, Harry Neel of Avinger, TX, Gary Neel of Jefferson, TX, Terry Neel of Avinger, TX and Robert Neel of Avinger, TX.
