Funeral services for Thomas "Tony" Fulton Sipes, 83, of Marshall will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 30, 2016 in the chapel of Downs Funeral Home with Bro. Ron Segers officiating. Interment will follow in Colonial Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at the funeral home. Mr. Sipes passed away November 27, 2016 in Longview.

Thomas Sipes was born August 1, 1933 in Beckville, Texas to Lewis Edward Sipes and Sarah Amelia Armstrong Sipes. On March 7, 1978, he married Patsy Ann Shahan. Thomas served his country in the United States Army and retired from the National Guard after 40 years of service with the rank of Command Sergeant Major.

Surviving Tony are his wife of 38 years, Patsy Sipes of Marshall; daughter, Jackie McGee of Tatum; grandchildren, Christopher Sipes and wife Johanna of Marshall, Christina McGee of Tatum, Perry McGee, Jr. and wife Stephanie of Marshall, Wil McGee of Arkansas, Eric McGee of Marshall, John Gazzola and Michael Gazzola and wife Alisha of Katy; great-grandchildren, Remington Sipes, Savannah Sipes, Brandy Kirkland, Jessica Slaughter, Perry McGee, III, Lillian McGee, Alexa Gazzola and Michael Gazzola, Jr.; and one sister, Dorothy Chandler of Marshall.

Adopted in love and also left to remember him are, Anita Rana and husband Zameer, Savanna Ashley, Samantha Ashley and numerous friends and church family. He was preceded in death by his mother, Sara Sipes, father, Lewis Sipes, brother, G.L. Sipes, two sisters, Charlotte Louis Scherhorn and Betty Ann Smart and two sons, Richard Sipes and Robert Gazzola.
