Obituary

Timothy (Timmy) Edward Morris, an avid wheeler and dealer and life-long resident of Marshall, TX, died unexpectedly on April 26th, 2017 at the age of 63 in his home.

Timmy was born in Marshall on April 12th, 1954. He graduated from Marshall High School in 1972 and worked at Cobb Industries, like his father, shortly after. He spent the rest of his working life as a millwright and pipefitter working for various construction companies and travelling all over the U.S. On February 2, 1980 he welcomed his son, Clint Morris, who was the most important person in his life, aside from his two granddaughters, Maci and Lenny Morris, whom he adored.

He is survived by his son, Clint Morris and wife, Hayleigh; two granddaughters, Maci and Lenny Morris; his brother Tommy Morris and wife, Rhonda; sister, Lurlie Morris Maddox and husband, Don; nephew, Michael Maddox and wife, Paula and their son, Robert; nephew, Jason Maddox and wife, Marie, their daughter, Lexie; nephew, Daniel Maddox; niece, Hollie Morris Cotton and husband, Keith and their children, Kylie, Natalie and Laney; and nephew Christopher, and wife, Brittany and their children, Sadie and Shawn.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert Pitts Morris and Edith McGowan Morris; his sister Catherine Morris McCain; and brother, Terry Morris.

Timmy was quick witted and even quicker to make a deal. You could always count on him to call and let you know when Kroger was running a special on green beans and corn. If you wanted it, he could find it.

Funeral services for Mr. Morris will be at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, April 30, 2017 at Downs Funeral Home Chapel with a visitation beginning at 2:00 p.m.
