A visitation for Tommy George Furrh will be held from 4-6p.m. Sunday, October 7, 2018 at Downs Funeral Home.

Tommy George Furrh 83, of Marshall, Texas was born October 18, 1933 to Austin Furrh and Faye Jones. Mr. Furrh passed away peacefully on October 4, 2018 at his home to go be with his Lord after a long battle with Alzheimer's. Tommy and Mary united in marriage in 1952 and have been married for 66years now. He was a member of Central Baptist Church for 65 years. Mr. Furrh worked at Southwestern Bell, AT&T, Lucent Technologies. He retired at 52 years old when he then opened his own business, TF Wire Services. Mr. Furrh enjoyed duck hunting, fishing, and working in his yard. He loved his dog, Coco who was at his side daily. Mr. Furrh loved children and all animals.

Mr. Furrh is survived by his loving wife, Mary Ann Furrh; daughter, Theresa Furrh Clark; grandchild, Justin Furrh Clark; great-grandchild, Logan Furrh Clark; sister-in-law, Jean Ann Furrh; brother-in-law, Jacob and wife, Jan Mims; sister-in-law, Linda and husband, Pat Adams and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mr. Furrh is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Billy Austin Furrh.
