Funeral services for Trenton Alexander "Petie" Lindsey will be held at 3:30 p.m., Saturday February 26, 2011 at Crossroads Baptist Church with Pastor David Rice officiating. A viewing will be held from 11:30 a.m. until service time at the church prior to the service. Interment will follow in Elysian Fields Cemetery under the direction of Downs Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m., Friday, February 25, 2011 at the funeral home. Trenton passed away Tuesday, February 22, 2011 in Shreveport after a brief illness. Trenton Alexander Lindsey was born August 27, 1997 in Victoria, Texas to Darell Shane Lindsey and Traci Ann Lindsey. He was a sixth grade student at Elysian Fields Middle School where he played basketball on the blue team. Trenton loved sports and was also a member of Crossroads Baptist Church. Surviving Trenton are his father, Shane Lindsey of Keithville, LA.; mother, Traci Lindsey of Greenly, CO; two brothers, Taylor Shane Lindsey and Andrew Scott Lindsey both of Elysian Fields; grandparents, Bobby and Pat Lindsey of Elysian Fields, James and Marie Tanner of Keithville, LA and Dan and Susie Black of Utah; great-grandparents, Big MaMa and Big Pa Pa Grabener of Elysian Fields and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Serving as pallbearers will be Taylor Lindsey, Andrew Lindsey, Bobby Lindsey, Jr., Steven Jefferson, Bryan Jefferson, Danny Grabener and Chase Stoate. The family requests donations to the Dallas Children's Hospital. There will also be a blood drive in his honor at Crossroads Baptist Church on Thursday, March 03, 2011 from 3:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
