A Memorial Service for Trudy Harper, 63, will be held at 10:00am Wednesday, June 07, 2017 in the Chapel of Downs Funeral Home with Bro. Leonard Nichols officiating. Ms. Harper passed away Sunday, June 04, 2017 in Marshall.

Trudy Harper was born February 26, 1954 in Vidor, Texas to Bryan and Dorothy Kyles. Trudy was a loving mother of three and grandmother of three. Her grandchildren, Lexia, Drake, and Annalie were the joy of her life. Trudy loved going to church and loved her church family. She enjoyed puzzle books, spoiling her dog, Baby Girl. Trudy had an outgoing personality and never knew a stranger. In addition to being a mother of three, Trudy was an adoptive mother to many. To all of Trudy's children's friends, she was known to them as Mama Trudy. Family was important to Trudy and time spent with them was the most cherished time of her life.

Surviving Trudy are her three children, Jonathan Wesley Harper, Benjamin Corey Harper, and Brandy Nicole Harper; grandchildren, Lexia Lilley, Drake Phoenix, and Annalie Adams; sisters, Melvadean Nelson, and her husband, Ken, and Linda Gogan and her husband, Bert; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
