Graveside services for Vera L. Spraberry, 85, of Marshall, will be held at 12:00 p.m.,Tuesday, March 17, 2015, at the Little Chapel By The Lake at Colonial Gardens Cemetery with Bro. Morris Brock officiating. Interment will follow. Mrs. Spraberry passed away March 15, 2015, in Marshall. Vera L. Kilgore Spraberry was born May 20, 1929, in Palacios, TX, to Walter and Leona Wright Kilgore. She was a graduate of Palacios High School. Vera married James E. Spraberry on March 16, 1951, and they were blessed with two children, Terry and Debbie. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. Vera loved working in the yard and gardening. She also loved to cook and loved animals. Vera helped prepare meals at Grange Hall Baptist Church. Surviving Mrs. Spraberry are her husband, James E. Spraberry of Marshall; daughter, Debbie Mayberry and husband Randy of Shreveport, LA; son, Terry Spraberry and wife Lisa of Marshall; three grandchildren, Christy Murphy and husband Mark, David Bannister and wife Jenny, Brittany Spraberry; great grandchildren, Karlie, Nathan, McKenzie, Maddie, Kameron, Landen, and Ace; a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives. Preceding Mrs. Spraberry in death are her parents, one sister and three brothers.
