Vicki Lynn Simmons Graveside services for Vicki Lynn Simmons will be held 12:00 p.m., Monday, May 12, 2014 at Center Cemetery, Harleton, Texas with Bro. Will Sherman officiating. Interment will follow. A time of visitation for family and friends will be held from 10:00-11:00 a.m., Monday, May 12, 2014 prior to the service at Downs Funeral Home. Ms. Simmons passed away May 7, 2014 in Tyler. Vicki Simmons was born May 21, 1960 in Marshall, Texas to Glenn Simmons and Janet West Carver. She was a graduate of Marshall High School. Vicki enjoyed cooking, painting flowers and animals. She worked at VFW in Tyler. Vicki often said, "I wish I could get paid for cooking," because she loved cooking that much. However, she never ate much of her cooking due to being full after tasting everything as she cooked. Vicki also enjoyed watching NASCAR and football. Vicki is survived by her parents, Glenn Simmons, Janet Carver and husband A.D.; son, Rusty Winn; aunt, Judy Summers; friends, David, John, Brian, and others; and co-workers.
