Vickie Ann Senn, 70, of Karnack, Texas, passed away peacefully in her sleep on October 27, 2026. Visitation will be held for Vickie Senn from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, November 1, 2026 at Downs Funeral Home. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. on Monday, November 2, 2026 at Downs Funeral Home.
Vickie Senn was a loving mother, grandmother, wife, sister, and friend. Vickie was the best mom and grandmother anyone could ask for. She loved her kids and grandchildren more than anyone. She enjoyed having all of her family together at her house for the holidays or even a random night when everyone would just want to come eat dinner at her house. Vickie was always in the kitchen. She loved to bake and cook new things after watching her cooking channels. Everyone that ever tried her cooking always wanted to come back for more. Her random recipes that she would make would become a staple in her house for months on end, but no one complained because they were so delicious.
Vickie’s favorite hobby was scrapbooking. She would go to every event that she could to take pictures of her children and grandchildren. She has so many scrapbooks that she has made throughout the years that capture everyone that she loves. She loved collecting random items whenever she could. She loved collecting rooster-themed items. Vickie was unlike any other mother or grandmother. Her role in life was to be the glue of her family. She has held her family together for decades. She will be dearly missed by everyone that knows her.
Vickie had many nicknames from the ones she loved most. Her favorite name to be called was “Nanny”. She loved her grandchildren with her whole heart and would be there for them at the drop of a hat. Her other name was “Ellie Mae”, because she would always be the person to rescue wild animals and take care of them. She loved animals so much and always tried to help them when she could.
Vickie Senn was survived by her son, Derrick and December Senn; her daughter, Nikki Barton; her siblings, sister, Terri Weaver, and brother, John Stephens; and her grandchildren, Jordan and Hagen Meyers, Ashline, Jamie, and Jessie Barton, Travis and Colby Stephens, Haven and Royal Senn.
Vickie was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Senn Jr.; her parents, Greta Stephens and Joe Weaver; and her brother, Larry Weaver.
