A memorial service for Vida Rust, 92, of Marshall, Texas will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 19, 2025, at New Hebron Church in Elysian Fields, Texas.

Vida was born in Camp County, Texas, the daughter of George Lonnie Griffin and Robbie Ann Fullen Griffin and passed away on December 16 2025, in Marshall, Texas.

She grew up on a farm and graduated from Pittsburg High School in Pittsburg, Texas. On April 9, 1994, gave her heart to the Lord. In June of 1995, she went to work in the office of New Hebron Baptist Church where she was a Faithful member.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Robbie Griffin; brother, Sanford Rudolph Griffin and her five sisters, Georgia Ozelle Toole, her twin sister, Itha Ray Martin, Robbie Vonelle Rogenkamp, Mildred Valrie Osborn and Faye Monts.

She is survived by her three daughters, Donna Lynn Modzelewski of Elysian Fields, Texas, Elaine Christine Sutton of Marshall, Texas and Linda Kay McKinney of Longview, Texas; her sister, Carline Eugenia Morton of San Antonio, Texas; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren along with numerous nieces and nephews and other friends and family.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in her honor to the New Hebron Church Building or Mission Fund.
