Graveside services for Virginia Rebecca Stringfellow Littlejohn, 84 of Marshall will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday February 7, 2013 in Avinger Cemetery under the direction of Downs Funeral Home with Rev. Kent Bird officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Wednesday February 6, 2013 at the funeral home. Mrs. Littlejohn passed away February 3, 2013 in Marshall. Virginia Rebecca Stringfellow Littlejohn was born September 8, 1928 in Shreveport, Louisiana, the daughter of Norris Sterling Stingfellow and Inez Virginia Foster Stingfellow. She later married Dan Littlejohn. Virginia was the owner of a telephone answering service for 40 years, retiring in 2004. Surviving Virginia are two sons, Bill Whitis and wife Jan of Marshall and Ralph Whitis and wife Tamsie of Longview; one daughter, Becky Bryan of Marshall; ten grandchildren, Scotty Bryan and wife Amanda of Ft. Worth, Max Bryan and wife Shelly of Chandler, Todd Bryan of Marshall, Melissa Brooks and husband Stephen of Dallas, Bill T. Whitis of Marshall, Kyle Whitis and wife Katie of Addison, Lindsey Whitis, of Farmers Branch , Kelly Brewton and fiancé, David McGinty of Dickinson, Kirk Whitis of Brookshire, and Marty Whitis of Longview; fifteen great- grandchildren and one great-great grandson. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Dan Littlejohn and one grandson, Matthew Daniel Bryan. Serving as pallbearers will be her grandsons, Scotty Bryan, Max Bryan, Todd Bryan, Bill T. Whitis, Kyle Whitis and Kirk Whitis.
