Obituary

Vivian Dean "Deannie" Davidson, age 75, peacefully left this earth on May 5, 2026, after a long illness. Born on May 10, 1950, Deannie spent most of her life in Marshall, Texas with a few treasured years in Fort Worth, Texas.

Deannie loved the Lord deeply and dedicated her life to her faith after being born again in 1959 through the ministry and teachings associated with Billy Graham. Her faith remained the foundation of her life and carried her through every joy and hardship.

She was known for her warm heart, quick wit and wonderful storytelling. Deannie especially loved children and had a special gift for making them laugh with her talent for stories and humor. She was also a wonder in the kitchen, where she lovingly prepared meals that brought family and friends together.

On May 18, 1967, she married the love of her life, Larry Davidson. Their marriage was one of deep devotion, companionship and enduring love. Of all the treasured memories in her life, Deannie often said that, aside from marrying Larry, the most important day was becoming a mother to their 5lb, 4oz baby boy. She said her life felt complete the first time she held him in her arms.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lena Kate Oney and Floyd Oney; her beloved son, Jason Davidson; brothers and sisters, Glenwood Oney and Martha Oney, Harold Oney and Patsy Oney, Lena Faye Oglethorpe and Ed Oglethorpe, Floyd Jr. Oney and Janie Oney, Mary Ann Boyenga and Patricia Engel.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Larry Davidson of Marshall, Texas; sister, Peggy Ellis and husband, Allen of Bossier City, Louisiana; brother-in-law, Greg Boyenga of Marshall, Texas along with many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family members who will forever cherish her memory.
