Funeral services for W.D. "Dub" Mason will be at 2 p.m., Monday, March 26th at Downs Funeral Home.  Interment will follow at Colonial Gardens Cemetery.  A visitation will be from 6-8 p.m., Sunday, March 25th at Downs Funeral Home. Mr. Mason passed away March 23, 2018 in Pittsburg, TX.
W.D. Mason was born April 12, 1927 in Holland, TX to Willie Mason and Vara Dean Vanderford Mason.  He married Martha Messer in Bartlett, TX on March 23, 1951.  He worked for Natural Gas Pipeline as a Measurement Tech until his retirement in 1992.  He served in the US Navy on the USS Caperton as a Fireman First Class. He was a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church.
Mr. Mason is survived by his grandson Ryan Herring and wife Cassana, great grandsons Braxton Herring, and   Kyler Herring.  He was preceded in death by his wife of sixty-four years, Martha Mason, his parents Willie and Vara Dean Mason, sister Genevieve Mason, and daughter Connie Mason Herring.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made is his memory to Woodlawn Baptist Church.
