Walter Richard  "Dick" Heck, 59, a lifelong resident of Marshall, Tx passed away on April 21, 2026, in Dallas Tx.

Walter was born in Marshall, Tx on December 22,1966, to Walter and Lucy Heck of Marshall Tx. He worked for many years at Arnold Trucking, Action Towing, and was currently employed with Harrison County Road and Bridge. He married the love of his life and soul mate Vicky Heck on July 2, 2016, in Harleton Tx. He loved dirt track racing, going to mud runs, fishing, camping, and spending time with family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Vicky Heck of Harleton; son, Travis Heck of Longview, Tx; sisters, Ginger Forbus and husband, Jody of Henderson, Tx and Stacie Jackson and husband, James of Longview, Tx along with numerous nieces, nephews and other family and friends.

He is proceeded in death by his mother, Lucy Heck; father, Walter Heck and son, Justin Heck along with numerous other family members.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday April 27, 2026, at Downs funeral home in Marshall, Tx. A memorial service will be held at a later date provided by the family.
