Ms. Wanda Jean Brashears was born October 24, 1952 to the parentage of Mr. and Mrs. Conley Brashears (Cordia Mae). She departed this earthly life on Monday, February 15, 2016 at Good Shepherd Hospital in Marshall, Texas.

She attended Marshall public schools. Wanda started on her Christian journey at a very young age. Her church was with Greater Macedonia Church under the leadership of Reverend David Hick's. She was a faithful member for years. Singing in the choir and     praising the Lord meant a lot to her. She loved her church and  definitely loved God. Her biggest joy came into her life when she had her two beautiful children, Tomeka and Michael. Her daughter was her pride and joy and Michael was the mama's baby. But she did love both of her children.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Connie Mae and brother Conley preceded in death. She leaves to cherish her sweet memories, her beautiful daughter, Tomeka Rena Brashears (Blake); one handsome son, Mr. Michael Darell Brashears (Cassandra); two step-sons, Mr. Lawrence Henderson Jr. (Cassandra) and Mr. Lenny Henderson (Precious) of Longview, Texas; two very smart and very intelligent grand kids, Mr. John Love of Belton, TX and Tamira  Anderson of Marshall, TX; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Mathis (Thurnell), Ms. Thelma Darty and Ms. Shirley Jean Brashears; one brother, Mr. Gerald Brashears (Cynthia) of Little Elm, TX and many more relatives, friends and loved ones who will miss her dearly.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, February 27, 2016 in the chapel of Downs Funeral Home with Reverend W.S. McLane officiating. Burial will follow in Mc. Johnson Cemetery.
