A funeral service for Wanda L. Jones, 86, of Gladewater, Texas will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, February 10, 2025, in the Chapel at Downs Funeral Home. A visitation for family and friends will be held prior to the service from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel.

Wanda was born on April 16, 1938, in Rusk County, Texas to Lloyd D. Jackson and Mable L. Warlick Jackson and passed away on February 1, 2025, in Big Springs, Texas.

She married Willie Thomas Jones in Gregg County, Texas and the two remained married until his passing in 2009. She was a member of Memorial Baptist Church and worked as a bookkeeper for a nursing home.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Mable Jackson; husband, Willie Jones; daughter, Sharon Tubb and sister, Carmen Sue Miller.

She is survived by her daughters, Vicki Kirkpatrick and Cindy Burgess; brother, Lloyd Jackson; grandchildren, Lesya Marsden, Travis Kirkpatrick, Josh Tubb and Nathan Tubb and great grandchildren, Brynnlee Marsden, Bryce Marsden, Jace Tubb and Cheyenne Tubb along with other family and friends.
