A funeral service for Wanda L. Lawless, 87, of Deberry, Texas will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 15, 2022, at Mt. Zion Methodist Church in Panola, Texas. Interment will follow at Panola Mt. Zion Cemetery. A time for visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday, February 14, 2022, at Downs Funeral Home in Marshall, Texas.

She was born on March 7, 1934, to Johnnie Marshall and Grady Boyter Marshall and passed away on February 11, 2022, in Shreveport, Louisiana.

She was a high school graduate of Waskom High School and lived in DeBerry area most of her life. She was known to her nieces and nephews as "Aunt Bonnie" and was a beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved to cook and play bingo with her family and friends. She was a hard worker in the family business, community and church. She will forever be missed by her family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Johnnie and Grady Boyter; husband, James Thomas Lawless; 3 brothers, Glenn Marshall, Charles Marshall and Michael Marshall and 1 sister and brother-in-law, Mary West and spouse, Rayford.

She is survived by her sons, James Lawless and Johnny Lawless; sister, Barbara Pitman; grandchildren, John Lawless and Hannah Lawless; great grandchild Jesse Lawless along with numerous nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
