Graveside services for Wayne "Chainsaw" Shaw, 69 of Marshall will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at Cave Springs Cemetery with Casey Howell officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Monday, July 18 th at the Downs Funeral Home in Marshall.

Wayne was born May 29, 1947 in Greenville, Texas to Hubert Shaw and Bertha A. Putman Shaw and passed away July 15, 2016 in Marshall, Texas. He was married to Shirley Diane Francis Shaw. Wayne was the perfect example of someone "who never met a stranger". To say he was a calm patient man would be an understatement. He was a man with a lot of love in his heart. First and foremost was the love for his family. He would do anything in the world for his wife Shirley and their children. During his life, he would take part in helping to raise many children.

He loved them all but he had a very special place in his heart for the grandkids. He had a love for life too. Driving all over the country with his family on vacations, fishing with his friends, kids and grandkids, hunting locally and in Colorado, the outdoors in general and the occasional trip to the casino were all parts of what he called living. Without him the world has lost a big heart, good friend and calm soul.

Survivors are his wife, Shirley Shaw of Marshall; children, D'Wayne Shaw of Chalk Hill Community, Tammy House of McKinney, TX, Cory Howell of Daingerfield, TX, and Casey Howell of Marshall, TX.

Also surviving are his sister, Margie Lawson of Little Rock, AR; grandchildren, Connor Howell, Rachel Howell, Emily Howell, Annabelle Howell, Layla Howell, Alexander Howell, Hudson Howell, Shelly Yoder, Toni Childress, John Weisinger, Ashley Vickery, Sydney House, and four great-grandchildren.
