Services for Wendel Roy Shaklee will be 2:00p.m., Friday, February 03, 2017 in the Chapel of Downs Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Wendel was born on September 24, 1947 in Enid, Oklahoma to Lela and Arthur Shaklee. He passed away January 31, 2017 in Rockwall, Texas at the age of 69. He was preceded in death by his father, Arthur Shaklee.

Wendel loved hunting, fishing and golfing. He was a die-hard Oklahoma Sooners fan. He is a Vietnam Veteran and served in the Army. He loved his country and family. He loved helping coach his two boys in baseball, and taking them fishing and hunting when they were growing up.
