Wesley Blackshear, 45, of Karnack, Texas passed away on April 1, 2026, at his residence in Karnack.

Wesley was born on April 13, 1980, in Shreveport, Louisiana to George Lee Blackshear and Julia Faye Smith.

He loved racing and was a Louisiana State Champ Racer. He won numerous other races and had all the trophies to prove it. He loved boating, doing mechanical work and the outdoors. He loved doing yardwork and never had time to sit. He was always busy doing something. He loved traveling, especially to Mexico where he enjoyed fishing. He had four children whom he loved dearly. He also loved his dad and was always a daddy's boy.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Cody Lee Blackshear.

He is survived by his father, George Blackshear and partner in life, Allison Campbell; his mother, Julia Blackshear; children, Kodie Blackshear, Aliyah Blackshear, Tenley Blackshear, Kipton Blackshear and Kayleigh Frost; his cousin, who was like a brother, Ronnie Herndon and grandson, Remington Wesley Blackshear.

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, April 18, 2026, at Restland Cemetery in Waskom, Texas.
