Funeral services for Wesley Earl Glasscock, Sr., 65, of Longview, TX will be held 2:00 p.m., Sunday, September 2, 2012 in the Chapel of Downs Funeral Home. Rev. Donald Robinette will officiate. Interment will follow at Yates Memorial Cemetery, Scottsville, TX. A time of visitation will be held 6:00 - 8:00 p.m., Saturday, September 1, 2012 at Downs Funeral Home. Mr. Glasscock passed away August 29, 2012 in Longview. Wesley Glasscock was born April 15, 1947 in Lindale, Texas to Joseph and Nelta Self Glasscock. Wesley married Sherry Fox on Valentine's Day, 2010 on the beach at Corpus Christi. Wesley was an avid deerhunter and dedicated Nascar fan. One of the highlights of his life was driving a Nascar on Texas Motor Speedway. "Paw" could be found playing with his great-grandson, Gage. He retired as a service manager from Chrysler Corporation. Wesley was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Frances Glasscock. Wesley is survived by his wife, Sherry Fox of Longview, TX; sons, Wesley Glasscock, Jr. of Longview, TX and Stephen Glasscock of Houston, TX; daughter, Lesley Glasscock of Austin, TX; 4 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; stepsons, Wes Pugh of Tyler and Jeff Pugh of Longview; sisters, Frankie Allred of Bullard and Brenda Harden of Tyler; and a brother, William Glasscock of Bullard. Pallbearers will be Jeff Pugh, Wes Pugh, Glenn Huff, Dennis Harden, Bill Allred and Gary Fox.
